Filming for season 6 of BodogFIGHT will take place August 24 to 25 on a closed set at the Squamish Nation Indian Reserve in nearby North Vancouver. Mark Weir gives his thoughts on his upcoming fight on that card against Nick Thompson

What are your thoughts on Nick as an opponent?
I think that he is a good match, as we are the same height and build. He prefers the ground, I prefer to stand but we can also do both. Should be a good fight!
What do you feel will be your biggest advantage over Nick?
I think the biggest advantage is my experience and also that this is my natural weight division.
How do you feel about fighting in North America?
I don’t mind fighting anywhere, but I would have preferred extra time to acclimatize and adjust, but I have fought enough times abroad to overcome this.
How do you feel your game has improved in recent years?
My game is more patient, tactical and methodical, which allows me to find the weakness in most of my opponents.
What have you been working on the most lately?
I have stuck to what works for me in a fight, but I have also upped my training to achieve my natural weight. I have been more disciplined with every aspect than ever before.
