Taking a lot of flak for dropping his title to Matt Serra, everything from Georges St. Pierre’s mental game to heart has been questioned. Tomorrow night versus Josh Koscheck, will be one step back to the title for the French Canadian. “I’ve never been so well prepared for a fight, and Saturday night it’s going to pay off, I’m very confident”, notes St. Pierre. “I truly believe that I’m the best fighter in the world.” It wasn’t his night against Serra last time out, but this time around St. Pierre is looking to change any blocks to peak performance and has utilized the assistance of a sports psychologist to do so. While St. Pierre feels he’s the best, he knows that all that matters is what occurs within the 15 minute frame tomorrow night. “In every sport it’s the same story—it’s not the best team that wins in baseball, it’s the team who plays the best; it’s not the fastest horse who wins the race, it’s the horse that races the best”, says St. Pierre. He’s looking to be the best fighter Saturday night and promises that the current version of St. Pierre is the most premium one to date. “You will see a brand new version of what I was when I fought Matt Hughes.”
