The MMA Digest Exclusive: Jitters and Improper Training contributed to Crane’s Fatigue

Alberto Crane was transitioning quickly from submission attempt to submission attempt in round one of his bout with Roger Huerta this past weekend, but began to gas midway through the second round. The nerves of his UFC debut played a role in the fatigue. “I think it was a combination of jitters and not training the right way that caused my fatigue in the fight”, comments Crane. As far as his thoughts on the fight in general, Crane noted, “My thoughts on the fight was that I had a very big chance to win and did not capitalize them and have a lot to work on.” Next on the agenda for Crane is to learn from the fight, get his team together and schedule a fight sometime at the end of ’07/ beginning of ’08.
