While his career took a setback after losing to Houston Alexander in his last bout, Keith Jardine finds himself with a golden opportunity to rise up the rankings at 205 when he fights Chuck Liddell at UFC 76 on September 22nd. “There’s definitely more excitement in training, it’s definitely a big opportunity for me”, comments Jardine. “I wouldn’t say more motivated, because “motivated” is a weird word for fighting– I’m going to be motivated in every fight because the guy’s trying to knock your head off.”
With both Jardine and Liddell coming off knockout losses on the same event, UFC 72 in May, they’ll be entering into UFC 76 desperately looking for the victory, which will make for a highly entertaining stand up battle and most likely a knockout at the conclusion of the affair.
