It’s one of the most explosive strikes in the sport of MMA– The Flying Knee. A fighter goes airborne and lands a brutal strike that is either going to daze his opponent badly or finish him off completely. Here are 3 Flying Knee KOs which stand out in recent memory.

Spencer Fisher over Matt Wiman
At UFC 60 Fisher had a serious vertical on this flying knee and landed it in explosive fashion to knockout UFC rookie Wiman as a welcome into the UFC.

Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto over Kazuyuki Miyata
A 4 second flying knee knockout, it doesn’t get much better than that. Yamamoto literally ran across the ring in a second and flying kneed Miyata in grandiose fashion.

James Irvin over Terry Martin
Irvin was evidently anxious to finish the fight in round 2–he took only 9 seconds to leap in the air and land a pristine flying knee on Martin, which knocked him out cold. Irvin embodied the power of visualization as he envisioned this KO numerous times before the fight and materialized it perfectly. Irvin coolly walked away after the strike as he knew the bout was over.
