Joe Lauzon spoke about his upcoming bout at UFC 78 against Jason Reinhardt at adcombat.com.

On Reinhardt`s Perfect Record:

I know that 18-0 record is about to get its first blemish. 18 wins and zero losses is a great record, but the fact that he hasn’t stepped into the ring or cage with someone that could take him past the second rounds shows the level of competition he has faced. Now maybe he is the next big thing, but I highly doubt it, and I will show everyone exactly that.  I wasn’t intimidated by Jens Pulver making my UFC debut against the former Lightweight Champ, and I am sure as hell not going to be intimidated by someone with a 100% padded record that has never faced the level of competition that I am going to bring. No one has stopped him yet, but I am going to be the first.  It’s about time he turned in his “Undefeated Club” membership card.

On Reinhardt`s Ground Game

I am preparing for standup, being on top and being on my back.  I think the fight will end up on the ground one way or another, and no matter where we end up, its bad news for Jason.  From the bottom, I will sweep or submit.  From the top, I will pound him out or pound him until he gives me the submission. I think I am more known knocking out Jens and my ground and pound, but my submissions are my bread and butter. Of my 15 wins, 12 have come by submission.

Predictions:

I predict an ass whooping. I am bringing the fight with Jason and will put the pressure on and we will see how long it takes until he cracks.  BJ, Rudy and everyone else has been getting me ready for this fight and it’s the first time I have been able to 100% focus on training and not have to deal with work or cameras in my face. You can expect a furious pace from bell to bell and at the end, I’m going to be looking into the camera with that stupid smirk on my face with my hand raised.
