GSP ready for everything

In final bout in the best of three series between Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes, St. Pierre has multiple plans and is ready for whatever Hughes has to offer. “I have a plan A, a plan B and a plan C. So if the plan A doesn’t work I go to the plan B and if the plan B doesn’t work I will go to the plan C. That’s always how I approach my fights”, says St. Pierre.
St. Pierre has shown great versatility in his arsenal with his striking and BJJ skills. His ability wrestling in his last bout against Josh Koscheck may prove to be a big hurdle for Hughes tomorrow night. Liking to take fighters to the mat and pound them out, Hughes is going to have his work cut out for him taking St. Pierre to the mat. Hughes likes to get double underhooks and slam fighters with his strength from there. In the last fight he came close to doing some, but St. Pierre shook him off with a great sprawl. It’ll be interesting to see what strategy Hughes employs this time around.
“He might try to come more aggressive with the takedown, maybe yes, maybe not. His stand up will be improved. It’s going to be a hard fight, you know?” St. Pierre said. “I’m going to have to watch, because like I said before, Matt Hughes is not a one-dimensional fighter. He’s very good standing up. He can knock out people on the feet and beat people up by submission. He can beat them up on the ground as well so he causes a lot of problems. But I truly believe that I’ve got all of the tools to solve it.”
