Part of an interview with Matt Serra in this month’s Ultimate Grappling magazine:

Do you feel you were really in the zone and you the most “on” you’ve ever been for a fight?

The only thing that I was nervous about that night was that I wasn’t nervous. Usually you get that pit feeling in your stomach, which is okay. I was like, “Man, I’m walking into a day of sparring here, I feel great.” And the one thing that kept me at ease was I thought not a lot of guys get a shot at the title, and I knew regardless of what happens it was going to be an exciting fight. I knew one of us weren’t gong to make it but either way people were going to say, “That was an exciting fight.” I didn’t put too much pressure on myself and I just went in there like that and it worked out great for me.
