Davis on Swick
Marcus Davis gives his thoughts on Mike Swick, on UFC.com:
“Reach and speed don’t matter if you don’t have good timing. And that’s the thing about me, I have impeccable timing when it comes to striking. Guys throw punches and I just barely let them miss and the I’m inside and I’m throwing my shots. So his reach is not going to be an advantage in this fight, where a lot of people might think that….I am the only guy that can knock a guy out, guaranteed, I don’t care who it is, with one punch. I can do that. Nobody else can say they can do that to me. I’ts never happened. I’ve been a professional boxer for 11 yeras, never knocked out…I’ve been stopped on cuts and stuff but they’re not going to be able to go in and say, ‘I’m going to punch him and and knock him out.’ It’s not going to happen…I’ve knocked out guys with jabs or knocked them down, so I’ve always got that in my back pocket, so you’re always in danger.
