Jason Mayhem Miller on his partnership with Airwalk

Tell us about your partnership with Airwalk   Let’s not even call it a partnership, shall we? Let’s call it a brotherhood. A brotherhood of the travelling pants, if you will. Because now I’m working with Airwalk, and Airwalk selected me, even though they have all the choices…

The case for Brock Lesnar vs Randy Couture at UFC 91

Posted 26 Oct 2008 in Brock Lesnar,Randy Couture
  1. Strength. Brock Lesnar is a bigger and stronger fighter than Randy Couture. His sheer size is going to be a lot for Couture to deal with. Cutting down to 265 pounds, it’s obvious that that mass is going to play into the fight. The size and strength will give Lesnar a big edge in this battle.

  2. Wrestling. Lesnar being a former NCAA champ in D-1 makes him a very exceptional wrestler in MMA. Of course Couture has great credentials himself and is considered one of the best wrestlers in MMA. However Lesnar’s exceptional skill and speed with is takedowns might actually give him an edge here.

  3. More Powerful Strikes. Couture might have the better striking, but the power in punches belongs to Brock. With volleyball sized fists under 4 ounces of leather, if one of those connects it could end the night for Couture. Lesnar has KO power but Couture hasn’t been a knockout artist in his career.

  4. Ground and Pound. That power can be a great advantage on the ground for Lesnar. Frank Mir got a taste of how powerful Lesnar’s ground and pound can be, and Couture traditionally has had problems when he is put on his back. Lesnar may be able to take advantage of this.
