Bobby Lashley wins by decision over Jason Guida

Posted 22 Mar 2009 in Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley, in his second fight in MMA was victorious over Jason Guida last night at the “March Badness” event in Pensacola, Florida.

It was a unanimous decision where all 3 judges scored the bout 30-27 in favor of the former WWE pro wrestling star. More effective striking on the feet and ground, along with takedowns gave Lashley the edge last night. While it was not a thorougly dominant performance, Lashley showed some good striking, ability to handle himself when caught in a somewhat dangerous guillotine, as well as pick his spots for ground and pound when the fight hit the mat.

Unlike his counterpart from the WWE world, Brock Lesnar, who sought to jump right into the top 10 mix of things from the get-go, Lashley wants to take things slow and progress to the top of the ladder as he learns the game.
