Wanderlei Silva: For a Better World series
I think success is built with daily victories. Everyday we have to grow in anyway possible. Mentally, physically, intellectually. A new connection, a new friend; if you conquer a little everyday in the end of the year you will have a lot. And you will reach a new level in your life.
We have to use our connections, and run after our ideals, and achieve our dreams, through hard work.
People get emotional at the end of the year wanting to help other, but I think we should always try to help others. I think many people can help. Here in America there are big laws of incentive. I want to start a program where companies can adopt athletes, and these athletes will promote the companies. And I am looking into how to make this tax deductible. So companies can use their tax money to sponsor athletes. There are many athletes with great potential, who can’t only train, and they need to have up to 3 jobs.
When you reach a position, where your work is seen by a lot of people, and a lot of people cheer for you; when people look up to you, and want to follow your steps. It’s a good position, but it requires a lot of responsibility. Even Spiderman says in the movie, the more power you have, the more responsability comes with it. You need to manage this, you need to have the right conduct.
