It seems it’s a physical impossibility for Joe Lauzon to have a boring fight. He approaches the first round of a fight like it’s a 5 minute highlight video. He’s pushing forward with fast strikes, quick takedowns and just a wide array of violent and creative attacking. He has suffered in the second and third rounds in the past because of the frantic pace he pushes in the opening 5 minutes, but you have to admire his willingness to do whatever it takes to put on a great show. In an age when some MMA champions and contenders receive some flack for victorious which lack any sizzle and spark to them, Lauzon is willing to risk losing the the fight for the sake of gaining a whole lot of entertainment value to his matches. Some other fighters have a similar mentality, but not as many can deliver on the UFC stage as well as Lauzon as able to with that mindset.
