The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 teaser video featuring Michael Bisping & Mayhem Miller

Both Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller are going to be interesting coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 14. It’s an easy bet that both of these guys are going to get on each others’ nerves. Bisping isn’t afraid to speak his mind and Mayhem is a very strong personality that love the camera and talking up a storm. This will be Bisping’s third stint on TUF as he already has won the tourney once and coached on another season against Dan Henderson.

The UFC and Spike held open tryouts for TUF 14 on March 21 in Newark, New Jersey for bantamweight and featherweight fighters.
UFC veterans Kit Cope and Din Thomas as well as WEC vets Micah Miller and Canadian Wagney Fabiano also tried out for the show. Din Thomas had already once competed on the program when he was selected for the cast of TUF 4 which featured fighters making a comeback into the UFC.

Assistant oaches for the program are the following:

Team Mayhem

Ryan Parsons
Danny Perez
Kamarudeen Usman
Melchor Menor

Team Bisping

Kingsley Carter
Enzo Esposito
Eddy Atkinson
Mike Ince

September 14th is the date to expect the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter 14 on Spike TV.

Jason Mayhem Miller talks coaching on TUF 14 vs Michael Bisping

The 14th installment of the hit reality series The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV is definitely going to be an interesting one. Season 13 wasn’t the most interesting season for the reality show, although it did have it’s share of intriguing bouts and crowned a victory who has a lot of potential at 170–Tony Ferguson.

Nonetheless, hearing from Dana White, Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller, the fights to get into the house for the show were something else. So that will make for a great way to kickstart season 14 of the show.

And another main factor that will draw a lot of intrigue to the program will be the coaches–Mayhem Miller and Michael Bisping. Both are strong personalities and are not going to sit back and bite their tongue when it comes to speaking what’s on their mind. You can probably see from a mile away some conflicts arising between the two coaches, who will be slated to fight one another when the season is done.

When the two actually do step into the eight-sided caged combat arena to fight, it’s going to be a hell of war. As much as there is an anti-Michael Bisping sentiment out there, it’s hard to deny that he is a tremendous competitor and talented fighter. When you look at his resume, it’s actually a really polished CV that after further inspection is rather impressive. His losses have come to 3 champions in the game in Dan Henderson, Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping. The loss to Evans was razor close and a split decision, and the Wanderlei Silva defeat was also a very closely contested fight. The thing about Bisping is he trains so hard that his cardio always shines. His natural aggression and talent in conjunction with that conditioning has allowed him to amass his 21-3-0 record.

On the other side of the coin, Bully Beatdown host on MTV and stellar fighter at 185, Jason Mayhem Miller coaches the “orange” squad on TUF 14. Mayhem himself is a tireless worker and competitor in the cage and really pushes the pace hard in every fight. He’s certainly a man who was born to fight. He will not quit, giggles whenever he’s on the wrong side of a beatdown, and has a wide array of tools in his game after years of competing in mixed martial arts. While some fighters have wilted under the pressure that Michael Bisping brings to the cage, it’d be surprising to see that happen to Mayhem. Under the furious pace Bisping brought to Jorge Rivera, the Puerto-Rican-American middleweight slowed down and was stopped via strikes as a result. However with Mayhem, he tends to enjoy and snicker through taking his licks in the cage and comes back with his own violent fervor. Some feel that when Mayhem took on Jake Shields, that Shields was saved by the bell as Mayhem locked into a tight rear naked choke as the round ended in their 5 round title fight in Strikeforce.

UFC president Dana White has achieved the lion’s share of his success in the game these days by keeping a ear to what the fan’s are saying–good and bad. And some of the unsatisfied comments regarding TUF 13 has lit a fire under him to make sure TUF 14 is a lot bigger and better. And it looks like Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter has a lot of potential to be one of the better installments of the reality series.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Michael “The Count” Bisping are expected to compete against one another on The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, which is rumored to be taking place on December 3, 2011 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
