Jason Mayhem Miller on his partnership with Airwalk

Tell us about your partnership with Airwalk   Let’s not even call it a partnership, shall we? Let’s call it a brotherhood. A brotherhood of the travelling pants, if you will. Because now I’m working with Airwalk, and Airwalk selected me, even though they have all the choices…

MMA Fighter Bios: ALISTAIR OVEREEM

ALISTAIR OVEREEM
BORN: Hounslow, England
6’5 light heavyweight and heavyweight

Alistair Overeem is a fighter you can just never count out. With a 6’5 frame, gigantic hammer being held as he walks to the ring, and a smirk of confidence, “The Demolition Man” is always dangerous when he steps in to fight. After going 10-3 in the RINGS promotion, Pride FC welcomed the Dutchman into their fold and he defated Yusuk Imanmura in 45 seconds to show thanks for their invitation. Overeem would continue working hard and performing, going 3-0 in Pride and having a 10 fight win streak. Chuck Liddell would temporarily derail the Demolition Man, but he would come back with 2 wins outside of the Pride, and return to the Japanese promotion and defeat Hiromitsu Kanehara via cut in 2004. By this time Overeem was fighting top notch competiton and would notch some big wins, but at the same time fall to some tough customers in Fabricio Werdum, Shogun Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. But he still pulled off some excellent wins over Sergei Kharitonov via TKO and Vitor Belfort twice. Overeem would receive an opportunity to fight in the United States and compete for the Strikeforce Heavyweight title. He would attack Paul Buentello merciless with knees to the budy and force the big man to quite in the second round, to become the first heavyweight champion of the promotion. Since then he has defeated Mark Hunt, looked great in a fight against Mirko Filipovic, before it was deemed a no-contest after an unintention groin strike which dropped Filipovic. Overeem is aggressive, confident, good on the ground and dangerous on the feet. He can hang with the best and beat them. When he’s on his game he’s a handful to deal with and always has fighters guessing as to what he might come up with next.
