The “IF FCF India MMA League series 2009″ is being held in India between the period of February to July 2009 in Mumbai , Pune , Sangli , Bangalore , Chennai , Delhi , Kolkata , Nasik and other cities. The purpose of organizing these inter-club MMA events is to give an opportunity for up and coming amateur mixed martial arts fighters to showcase their talent and promote the sport of MMA [mixed martial arts] under the banner of IF FCF India branch led by President, Mr Daniel Isaac.
The IF FCF [International Federation of Full Contact Fighting] is the worlds leading amateur MMA organisation.Event No # 1 is team Mumbai vs Team Nasik on 22nd Feb 2009 being held in Mumbai city.Team mumbai is being headed by COTC welterweight champ “Superkick” Shafiq-ur-Rehman Shaikh while Team Mumbai will be led by Alan “The Bull” Fenandes.
